We believe there is one true and living God. He is eternal spirit, infinite in power, wisdom, and goodness. He is the creator and sustainer of all things both visible and invisible. God exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is God. Jesus was born from a virgin and lived on earth as a man. He lived a life without sin, but He was crucified on a cross as a criminal to pay the price for our sin. On the third day after his crucifixion He rose from the dead. He ascended into heaven where He is today and He will return again as He said.
The Bible is the inerrant and infallible word of God. The Scripture, written by various men as they were inspired by God, contains all things necessary to salvation. The Bible is not outdated, but is remarkably relevant. It is given to us for encouragement, guidance and direction. The Old Testament is not contrary to the New; for both in the Old and New Testament everlasting life is offered to mankind by Christ, who is the only Mediator between God and man.
Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, sinned against God therefore bringing mankind into corruption. Mankind is born with a corrupt and polluted nature that separates us from God, and causes us to commit sinful acts. The penalty for our sinful actions is death.
We are saved from the penalty of our sins by trusting in the work of Christ. We cannot be saved by our own good works. If we confess by faith that Jesus was the Son of God, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead, then we will be saved. This salvation is a free gift from God, given to us out of his grace not by anything we have done to earn it. Once we have received this gift of eternal life we cannot lose it.
